In August of 2006, Time Warner Cable replaced Adelphia as your cable and high speed Internet provider and transitioned your Adelphia Internet service to Road Runner High Speed Online. Your Adelphia email, folders and address book have been successfully transferred, and any email sent to your Adelphia email address is also being forwarded to your new Road Runner mailbox through the end of the year. All you need to do is activate your Road Runner account on your computer to begin using it.

If you use another email address, like Yahoo! or Hotmail, as your primary account this will not impact any of your information, emails, personal folders, etc. We do, however, recommend you activate your Road Runner account so that you can begin taking advantage of all it offers.

Please read this email in its entirety to ensure you have all the information needed to properly activate your Road Runner account.

Activate your Road Runner email account

To begin using your new Road Runner account, you need to activate it by following the simple steps below:

Go to the Road Runner Activation Wizard at http://activation.rr.com.
Select “I am a Time Warner Cable Road Runner customer”
At the next screen, select option 3, “(username)@roadrunner.com”
This will begin the activation process. The wizard walks you through the easy process of configuring your PC or MAC for Road Runner, and sets up your email account on your desktop email application (such as Outlook or Apple Mail). The Wizard also configures your existing sub accounts and gives you the option to create new sub accounts at the end of the process.

Some things to remember while you are activating your new Road Runner Account:

For help with the Activation Wizard process, please visit www.help.rr.com/welcome before you begin the Activation Wizard. You'll find step-by-step instructions and other helpful tips about activating your account.
Please ensure you have the latest version of your Internet browser installed. The Activation Wizard requires Internet Explorer 6.x or Safari 1.x.
The Activation Wizard requires ActiveX controls. If you are prompted to download ActiveX controls, please do so to ensure proper activation occurs by clicking on the yellow bar, as pictured below:

If you have a firewall or anti-virus software installed on your computer, you may be prompted to allow a program access to the Internet. Please do so to ensure proper activation occurs.
During the activation process, you will be asked to enter your Account Information, including a user name and password. Please use your Road Runner user name and password.
Your Road Runner user name is the first part of your Adelphia.net email account. For example, if your email was username@adelphia.net, your user name will be username.
Your password is the same password that you used with your Adelphia email account. If you need a new password, visit www.help.rr.com/welcome and click on the Password Tool to reset your password.
On the Account Information page, you will be asked for an account number. Please use the account number on your most recent bill statement.
We will send this email to all of your Adelphia.net email accounts so that you can activate each one.
The Activation Wizard will configure existing Adelphia sub accounts that you have enabled on your desktop email application.
If you have multiple computers in your home and you use them to check your Road Runner emails, you should run the Activation Wizard on each computer.
Duplicate copies of your emails may appear temporarily in your Adelphia account, as well as your new Road Runner account. This will stop after the transition process is complete.

Your new email address

Your new Road Runner email address isn't much different from your old one – only the last part of it is changing. Your user name is the same one you had with your Adelphia email. For example, if you were Username@adelphia.net, your Road Runner email address is Username@roadrunner.com. Your email password is also the same one you used with your Adelphia email.

Once you have completed the Activation Wizard, you can immediately begin using your new Road Runner email address. Your Adelphia email will be forwarded to your Road Runner account through the end of the year, but be sure to let your friends and family, as well as any online payment or business accounts, know that your email address has changed as soon as possible.

Update your Internet Security Software

Your Adelphia security software will expire soon, so don't wait to install the Road Runner Internet Security Suite. Simply check the “Register for Internet Security Suite from CA” box in the Activation Wizard, and you will receive an email in your Road Runner mailbox with instructions for installing the free security software.*
