![]() The Downeaster. The sleekest way to travel to and from Boston. Imagine no traffic hassles, parking for a small fee, and not having to worry about running out of gas on the side of 95. Our staff recently boarded the train to bring the Downeaster to those of you not lucky enough to ride her yet. And, for those of you who have, we even ventured in to the engine and the "cabbage" cars for a peek at the driver's seat. Below is an iPIX of the "cabbage" car. It's a renovated engine car designed to be used as storage for baggage other items on the trip. The engine isn't in this car, even though it looks like an engine car from the outside. You can view our gallery for more pictures inside and out of the Downeaster.
