The Aroundmaine.com Report
Volume 2 Number 2
January 19, 2006
Greetings from Aroundmaine.com - The local website from Time Warner Cable. To view this in your web browser, visit: http://www.aroundmaine.com/newsletter.
... And we're back. It's the first new aroundmaine.com newsletter of the New Year and the second of the last two years. We hope winter has been easy on you so far. We're anxiously awaiting that moment when we again leave work in the daylight.
The Aroundmaine.com Report is where we tell you what's new(ish) on Aroundmaine.com, just in case you don't visit the site as regularly as we do.

The weather was not exactly what the organizers of Winterfest 2006 were looking for last weekend, but the ice and snow artists did their magic anyway and photographer Adam Cutter preserved these temporary masterpieces for you.

From Portland Magazine, writer Amy Barnett hangs out with some of Portland's Favorite People in Head Games: Mensa Members in Maine.
Maybe you got a new Digital Camera from Santa? Maybe you haven't figured out what all those options and thingies do? Photographer Mike Leonard points out the two or three most important options and thingies in his discussion of getting the most from your digital camera. |

The Brickstore Museum in Kennebunk recently closed their The Kennebunks A to Z exhibit, but we've preserved as much of it as possible here on aroundmaine.com for you. There's something new to learn about Kennebunk and Kennebunkport under EVERY letter.

Some other things I'd like to point out on our web site:
This week's Pets of the Week is a dog named Ashton (the new one won't go up until Friday)
Kevin McDonough's TV Review column, Tune in Tonight, appears on our TV page every day.
You can find links to news from all over Maine on our News page.
The Classifieds are free and new stuff is added almost every day.
The Site of the Day might be something you haven't seen.
The High School Sports Schedules are back.
